Recommended Walking tours of Dublin City:

Where you start your Dublin walking tour and what streets you visit can be up to you. If you are in a city centre hotel we can start from there. The following walks, which are only 1.5 to 2.5 kms in length, are themed walks that I have completed for clients.  Tours are usually from 2½ to 3 hours in duration.

Millennium Walk: O’Connell Street to College Green, Dame Street and Castle Street

More than a thousand years of history is encapsulated in this walk. There are references to Viking Dublin, the medieval city, Georgian Dublin and more recent history.

Walk with Leopold: O’Connell Street to the National Library on Kildare Street

Walk in the footsteps of Leopold Bloom, the central character in James Joyce’s Ulysses.

Georgian Dublin Walk: Merrion Square to Lincoln Place, Nassau Street and Trinity College

Although large parts of Georgian Dublin have been destroyed by “developers”, there is still much to admire.

Medieval Walk: Two Cathedrals and a Castle

This walk focuses on the medieval history of Dublin but, as in every tour, will include later history. It includes Christchurch and St. Patrick’s Cathedrals and also the grounds of Dublin Castle.

Tourism Ireland Campaign

Recently I took part in a campaign for Tourism Ireland to promote some of the well-known sights as well as the hidden gems in Dublin city centre.
